Make Room for the "Zoom"...
There's nothing subtle about this PRO Stitch creation. Starting with a stock-appointed mid-80s Mazda 323 GLC, the owner told us to "do what we want" with the interior. We took that to heart. The only criteria, she wanted it to say "Zoom Zoom" somewhere in the design after the popular Mazda tagline. So where else to put the ZOOM ZOOM but on the doors? Not just any old "Zoom Zoom", but a rowdy, three-dimensional, three-inch thick "Zoom Zoom"...in yellow. Of course, getting all the "Zoom" on the doors meant doing away with the door handle and window crank.

Windows were switched over to power units, and the door handles were relocated to the floor beside each seat.

Previous installers and customizers went switch happy on the dash, with no two switches the same or in the same place. A custom-covered center console became the control board for all the exterior (and new interior) neon and LED lights.

Rockford Fosgate midrange speakers are the rear seat headrests. Tthe car itself serves as the bass box for the two massive 15-inch subs. A hidden amp rack sits under the hinged rear deck.

Once finished, the Mazda made all the area shows, parades, and cruises gathering it's share of attention and followers, until a fire and subsequent equipment failures sidelined the car in 2006.
